Terms of Service

Maps of Details, operated by Lorenzo Vassallo (VAT no. 04079010049) in Saluzzo, Italy, is an archive of architectural details. You must be an adult to contribute, provide accurate information, and have the rights and permissions needed for each upload. Posts can become public immediately. We may correct classification, restrict visibility or remove unlawful, inaccurate or disputed content. Contact: contributi@mapsofdetails.com.

You retain copyright and ownership of your photographs, drawings and files. By separately accepting the licence when you upload new material, you grant Maps of Details a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable and royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, adapt formats, display, distribute and make that material available, including through future commercial partnerships and services. The licence covers only material uploaded with explicit acceptance of this version or a later version stating that scope, and only rights you are entitled to grant. Your moral rights and mandatory rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

Accepting account terms alone does not grant this content licence. Existing posts and files do not acquire it retroactively. A later addition to an older post is licensed only for the newly added files. Removal from public view does not automatically terminate a valid licence, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. Training AI models requires a separate documented authorisation and is not granted by this clause.

Review new photographs before publication and protect personal details that require obscuring. Local automatic detection is an aid and may miss elements or produce false positives. You can add, adjust or remove obscuring areas. The original may be retained privately for authorised corrections; only the separate public copy is displayed. This procedure does not change licences, permissions or the status of existing material. See the Privacy Notice.

Viewing an item does not grant visitors a right to reuse or commercialise it. Downloads and third-party reuse are governed by the licence stated for the specific file or by permission from its rights holder. Technical drawings are for documentation and study; users must independently verify dimensions, safety and suitability.

Rights holders can request correction or removal at the email above. We may update these terms prospectively and ask for renewed acceptance where appropriate. Each acceptance is recorded with its version and date. Italian law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protections and other applicable law.
